Pelosi: CIA Misled Me On Waterboarding
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said she was informed that a briefing about "enhanced interrogation" techniques took place, but wasn't specifically briefed about the practice of waterboarding. Pelosi also said she was not at these hearings, however was informed of what went on by her staffers.
Pelosi said the focus on her is a "diversion" to take the spotlight off of people who conceived the interrogation policies.
The Speaker said she was misled by the CIA and Bush administration.
