Obama Has "Complete Confidence" In Geithner
Responding to a question about Rep. Connie Mack (R-FL) asking Geithner to resign, President Obama said he has "complete confidence" in his Treasury Secretary. Obama added, "nobody is working harder" or "making all the right moves" in terms of "playing a bad hand" than Tim Geithner. Obama said we have to provide Geithner the "support" he needs to work through all these problems.
Yesterday, Obama's White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs also said the administration has "complete confidence" in Geithner.
