McCaskill: Congress "Loves These Earmarks"
Sen. Claire McCaskill explains why she is in favor of an earmark-laden bill, despite being an outspoken critic of earmarks. She calls other Senators and other people in Congress choosing earmarks "a habit that is deeply engrained." "I have done everything I can possibly do," she said. "I gotta tell you, George... these guys LOVE these earmarks. They love the ability to have the power to pick out projects to fund... But the process is fundamentally flawed."
