President Obama Speaks at Congressional Dinner at White House
AP: President Barack Obama says he wants to thank members of Congress for their hard work and says it's important they acknowledge Democrats and Republicans have much in common. Obama welcomed the Democratic chairmen of congressional committees and their Republican counterparts, along with their spouses, to the White House on Wednesday evening. He told about 200 people gathered in the East Room that there are "monumental" debates facing them, but it's important they take a step back before they "dive back into the game."
