Chet Edwards' name just won't disappear from the veepstakes scroll, mostly due to the Speaker of the House's constant musings on the topic.

So reasonable people can ask why Pelosi mentions him every chance she gets. Jonathan Martin's view is that this has much more to do with House politics than actual VP politics. (You mean she's playing us for suckers, Martin? For shame!)

But nothing warms a politico's heart more than being in the veepstakes. Edwards might be no where near Obama's top tier, but as long as the Speaker of the House keeps mentioning him, so do we.
