Kristol: Ridge, Lieberman "Seriously In Play"

The political world is abuzz this afternoon over Bill Kristol's comments to Fox News that Colin Powell will endorse Obama. But in the VP world, we're much more interested in what Kristol thinks of McCain's and Obama's short list. From Jim Geraghty:

Also says that Lieberman and Ridge are "seriously in play" for McCain's running mate. He thinks Obama, in light of recent events, is leaning towards Bayh or Sam Nunn for his running mate. He suggests that Tim Kaine's stock has dropped in light of the continuing foreign policy crisis.

Conservatives won't like to hear about Ridge and Lieberman; liberals might be upset over Sam Nunn. But if the Georgia crisis is dropping Kaine, shouldn't it also drop Bayh too? Maybe Bayh's years of political experience are keeping him in, but he has very little foreign-policy experience as well.
