John Kerry is dismissing rumors that he might be Obama's VP pick:

"I wouldn't pay any attention to that," Kerry said in Dorchester yesterday, of recent media reports pegging him as one of Obama's top choices. "I'm interested in running for re-election, and that's what I'm doing."

Let's go out on a limb here: The Kerry rumor was a flash in the pan, the product of too many people with too much time of their hands. There are second chances in politics, but not this year for John Kerry.
