Cato's Michael Tanner takes some criticism of his post earlier denouncing Tim Pawlenty as a big-government conservative. He concludes however that, even with clarification, it "doesn't make him less of a big-government conservative."

Tanner certainly has a case, and it's not the first time Pawlenty's been criticized for his dedication to small government.
