Minnesota A Long Shot For McCain
Minn. Gov. Tim Pawlenty is on the short-short list of potential veeps. Pawlenty might be a good choice in its own right, but a new Quinnipiac poll suggests that choosing Pawlenty solely on his ability to carry Minnesota might be a bad idea.
Obama leads McCain 50-37 in the state among likely voters, and 54-33 among independents.
The poll also found that in the states polled -- MN, CO, MI, WI -- independent voters are against an Obama/Clinton ticket 16-29.
