On Obama rejecting public financing: "I think he has legitimate reasons. Foremost among them, the fact thats he's subjected to attacks on his wife, on his patriotism on his religion, and he needs to defend himself from those kind of things. And it won't just be John McCain, it'll be outside groups that can raise unlimited amounts of money. He needs to be able tor rebut those types of attacks."

On being VP: "I'll let Barack decide that. That's his perogative."
