An official says a vehicle backed through a large window at a suburban Detroit school and into a classroom. More than a dozen young students were injured but none seriously.
Village of Franklin Administrator Jon Stoppels says the vehicle was driven by an employee of Huda School & Montessori. It appeared the driver was attempting to park about 9 a.m. Tuesday and accidentally broke through the glass.
Stoppels says 14 preschool students were injured, and five were taken to a local hospital. Injuries were primarily cuts and bruises, though he says some were being evaluated for broken bones.
A woman who answered the phone at the private school refused to comment and said to call back later.
Franklin is about 15 miles northwest of Detroit.
