Embattled NY governor's aide visits NYC court

The Associated Press

The New York governor's aide at the center of a domestic violence scandal has visited Family Court in New York City with his attorneys.

Court officials say David Johnson went to the clerk's office Wednesday to look at his files.

Johnson's former girlfriend, Sherruna Booker, was seeking an order of protection stemming from a Halloween confrontation before abruptly dropping the case early last month.

The state attorney general's office is investigating whether Gov. David Paterson or anyone from his staff or security detail influenced her decision.

Johnson did not speak outside court. His attorney, Mark Jay Heller, did not return a call seeking comment.
