A southwestern Connecticut woman and her newborn triplets have been found dead at home after she gave birth there.
The Connecticut Post newspaper reports the woman's mother found her and the three baby boys on a floor when she returned Tuesday afternoon to the home in Shelton.
A grieving Frances Hope tells The Associated Press she didn't know whether her 26-year-old daughter was aware she was pregnant.
Police say it appears no one in the family knew about the woman's pregnancy.
Officers and emergency medical workers responding to the home found the woman unresponsive. They wouldn't reveal her name. They say it appears her triplets were carried full term.
Police say the causes of the four deaths are unknown but there was no sign of foul play.
