Man charged with killing 4, setting house ablaze

The Associated Press

An 18-year-old man has been charged with murdering a woman and her three daughters, then setting fire to their Southern California home to hide the crime.

The Los Angeles County district attorney's office says Corey King of Altadena was charged Friday with four counts of murder with special circumstances. He also was charged with arson and grand theft auto. Prosecutors have not decided whether to seek the death penalty.

Prosecutors allege he stabbed to death Sonya Durfield and her children on Tuesday. Firefighters found their bodies in the burned home in Lancaster, a city about 70 miles north of Los Angeles.
