ShareArk. sec'y of state launches redistricting site
The Associated PressSecretary of State Mark Martin has launched a new website designed to get Arkansans involved in the discussion about legislative redistricting.
Martin made the announcement Monday at a state Capitol news conference. He said the site is a way to open the redistricting process up to the public.
The website, arkansasredistricting.org, includes maps, timelines and details about the redistricting process.
Martin, Attorney General Dustin McDaniel and Gov. Mike Beebe are responsible for redrawing district boundaries for the state House and Senate, using figures from the recently released 2010 census.
