Democrats heading to White House on Saturday
The Associated PressDemocratic lawmakers are meeting with President Barack Obama at the White House on Saturday — the eve of a crucial vote on his health care overhaul.
White House officials said Friday that the House Democratic caucus would visit 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. at 4 p.m. EDT. House lawmakers plan to vote Sunday on the sweeping health care legislation.
Democratic leaders say they will have the votes to pass the bill, despite united Republican opposition. But Obama wants to make one last push for the president's top domestic priority that has been debated for more than a year.
