The Minnesota congresswoman's plan to get Americans back to work hinges upon cutting government spending and taxes and repealing several of President Obama's "job-killing" signature initiatives. Bachmann argues that the health care law costs states trillions of dollars and figures to become "the number one hindrance to job creation" and that the Dodd-Frank financial reform law makes it more difficult for citizens to access credit and puts burdensome rules on the financial community.

Bachmann's 11-point proposal to spur job growth involves taxing foreign earnings at a 5 percent rate to encourage job creators to hire and expand domestically; increasing production of American energy by 50 percent, which she says would create 1.4 million jobs and generate $800 billion in new revenue; and reining in government agencies. Additionally, Bachmann's plan, titled "American Jobs, Right Now," involves tightening and enforcing immigration laws "to protect federal, state, and local budgets, and to curb the unfair strain on our country's job markets."
