RCP House Ranking: Leans Dem
Presidential Race:
Obama (D) vs. McCain (R)
Competitive House Races: AL-2 | AL-5
Key 2006 State Races: Governor
Running to replace Rep. Bud Cramer (D), who has defied the Republican lean of the district and been re-elected 8 times since first coming to Congress in 1990, is no easy feat. Especially for a Democrat. But also for a Republican, as this district has never voted a Republican to Congress. The two Parkers -- state Sen. Parker Griffith (D) and advertising executive Wayne Parker (R) -- can expect a close outcome.
