As speculation over her presidential ambitions continues to mount, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will appear at a tea party-sponsored rally in Madison, Wisconsin, on Saturday, an aide confirmed.
Sponsored by the libertarian-leaning advocacy group Americans For Prosperity, the rally in front of the Wisconsin State Capitol will take place at the same venue where protests broke out over the recent battle over union rights between state Democrats and Republican Gov. Scott Walker.
Palin weighed in frequently on Walker's side and also recently delved into Wisconsin's hotly contested Supreme Court race when she endorsed conservative incumbent David Prosser.
Grassroots conservative activists from across the state are expected to be on hand for the Saturday afternoon rally at Wisconsin's State Capitol, which has become an annual event around Tax Day.
As she continues to mull a potential White House campaign, Palin has worked to highlight her solidarity with the tea party movement while generally avoiding outreach to members of the Republican establishment in the key early-voting states.
Several other prospective GOP presidential contenders are scheduled to speak at Tax Day rallies around the country.
Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty will headline events in Boston and Concord, New Hampshire, where former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum will also be on hand, while Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann will appear at a tea party rally at the South Carolina state House in Columbia on Monday.
