RealClearMarkets Seeks Intern
RCPRealClearMarkets.com seeks interns for the fall semester, starting immediately. RCM is one of the most highly regarded resources on the web for financial news and commentary. RCM maintains correspondents and employees throughout the country, and the ideal candidate would be comfortable dealing frequently with colleagues and supervisors via phone and email. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students looking to gain experience in new media in a fast-paced and rapidly expanding company setting.
We are offering college credit upon completion of the internship and would expect a commitment of 10-20 hours per week or more. Scheduling is extremely flexible. Interns would work primarily from home or the location of their choice, but would meet from time to time with RCM colleagues and communicate frequently via phone, email and IM.
The ideal candidate would possess the following qualities:
-In the pursuit of (or recently completed) a degree in Economics, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
-High level of self-motivation, and the ability to manage his/her own time and projects efficiently
-A genuine interest in markets/economics as well as online media - experience is helpful but not required
-High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite as well as internet search tools - experience with computer programming is helpful but not required
-Excellent people skills and professional judgment
Responsibilities would include:
-Managing contact with the media, including interview requests, requests for access to content, etc.
-Coordinating incoming advertising and customer service correspondence
-Performing research for RCM staff members
-Helping to create and manage products RCM provides to partners
