Senate Takes Historic Health Care Vote

Now they have to make sure that they don't mess up everything.

The first big hurdle will be reconciliation of the House and Senate versions, which won't be easy. The excruciating process of getting 60 votes in the Senate made it clear that the House has little room to maneuver. But there is so much to negotiate - from the lack of an optional government-run health insurance plan in the Senate bill (many House Democrats have vowed to vote against any bill without it), to taxes (the Senate wants to tax the most generous health care plans, an idea that unions and their Democratic House supporters hate), to abortion (anti-abortion House Democrats may revolt against the Senate's more moderate language).
