Democrats' Health Care Soap Opera

Every day there seems to be a new wrinkle in the ongoing soap opera over a health insurance legislative makeover.

Harry Reid says he'll put a public option with an opt-out in the Senate version. Is he just electioneering? Joe Lieberman gives hard-core liberals another reason to hate him by saying he'll join a filibuster if there's a public option. But Harry Reid (apparently honoring the Bob Dole precedent that the Senate majority leader must refer to himself in the third person) says that "Joe Lieberman is the least of Harry Reid's problems." Nancy Pelosi insists on a "robust" public option that some don't think is very robust! Liberals will defect! No they won't! Will the House vote first? Does it matter?

It might not be as sexy as "Grey's Anatomy," but there's at least...
